SP9326: 12/07/10 - 'Dated' Rustic

Whilst reviewing images from 2010, I came across one that I (presumably) could not identify at the time without further research - and then completely forgot about it. This time, however, with the experience gained over the intervening years, I was sure it was another Dotted Rustic. After confirmation by Mrs M. Banthorpe of Lower Stondon, it now supercedes the one taken on 10/07/12 as being my first garden record. Remarkably, the records are only two days apart ! Now i'm off to check those 2011 images . . .

T.min 10.0 Celsius.

The rather stocky Bulrush Wainscot was moth-of-the-night, this follows one taken in early August last year. Otherwise, with numbers and variety dwindling, we are down to illustrating 'forms' - Acleris variegana f.cirrana provided a (brief) moment of puzzlement.
