TL0024: 09/07/11

I have used the battery powered 15w actinic Heath trap on ten occasions over the last two years at this site. The 'Ratface' Skinner pulls in more moths, but it's mains powered and thus has only been used in the garden (and in a Cornish garden). Still, the Heath does a job, and not surprisingly four of the species were newly  self-caught moths for the site.

The 'best' of the modest catch was The Gothic - an uncommon moth with a local distribution - 95 records in the database.

1338 Dipleurina lacustrata
