Another Barred Straw and six new-for-year species. One unknown looks vaguely familiar?? - thanks to Matt for the ID: Ancylis achatana which was a specie already blogged here!!

SP9326: 04/07/12 - Tiger in the Tank !

It was way past bedtime, conditions looked good, and with an early start for work in prospect I followed the 'just one more look' policy of mothing. What I least expected was a stunning Scarlet Tiger sitting on the trap.
Homoeosoma sinuella was another new* garden moth as was Ancylis achatana.
