SP9326: 22/08/15 - New: Scorched Carpet

Very warm and muggy, quite breezy at times.

Scorched Carpet was new for the garden, having previously caught this specie near the chalk where spindle (the larval food-plant) is plentiful.

Four new* moths were Scorched Carpet and Rhomboid Tortrix. One of the dominent tree species is Cherry, thus it was no surprise to see Cherry Fruit Moth (Argyresthia pruniella). The fourth one is probably Parsnip Moth - they do seem slightly variable, and this one may be worn/faded (if you have an alternative ID please leave a comment).
