SP9326: 14/10/12 - Roll out the Red-green Carpet

A dire month so far - four sessions yielding ten moths of four species - so rather pleased to snag a new* macro for the garden - Red-green Carpet, seen only once before in TL0024 on 18/10/10.

1760* Red-green Carpet
A dullish-brown larva, noted occasionally over the last couple of weeks, was finally photographed and identified as the Dot Moth. The larva is polyphagous but was feeding on an unknown plant whose origin may be explained by the fact that it is growing under the birdseed feeder!

SP9326: 21/06/11

Well, that's mid-summer gone ! Minimum 12 Celsius, with wind increasing overnight - must see my GP about that...
Ypsolopha scabrella was new for the garden, and welcome returns for The Lackey - ten of which were seen last year between 24/06 and 18/07 - and Varied Coronet with a single last year.
