SP9326: 03/09/11 - More Feathered Gothics

Very mild - minimum 14.3 Celsius.

Two more Feathered Gothic in the trap after the first yesterday, and a first of the year Rosy Rustic.

Holly Tortrix was new* for the garden, albeit worn/faded. It should have been taken before, as there is c.700m of substantial Ilex hedgerow a stone's throw away.

A mild night with minimum temperature of 13.5 Celsius.

A new* garden macro was in the trap this morning - Feathered Gothic. This comes after seeing one at Stockgrove CP during a VC30 moth-meet a few days back.

Stockgrove CP: 26/08/11 - Feathered Gothic

After another rain soaked day I joined a VC30 moth-meet at Stockgrove. It was already misty, cold, and expectations were low - we weren't disappointed on that front  ! There were very few moths around as the temperatures plummeted. The star of the show was a Feathered Gothic.
