After another rain soaked day I joined a VC30 moth-meet at Stockgrove. It was already misty, cold, and expectations were low - we weren't disappointed on that front ! There were very few moths around as the temperatures plummeted. The star of the show was a Feathered Gothic.
Seurat and Van Gogh may have used the technique of pointillism, but nature got there first, as seen in this shot of Ypsolopha parenthesella.

Has your Feathered Gothic got a blue hat on Andy?!
ReplyDeleteMatt - I was hoping no one would notice - maybe it was the ruddy cold weather that did i it !
ReplyDeleteThe original image was over exposed and had a big orange colour-cast. In 'Lightroom', I colour-corrected for the moth, which left the blue shadows - and despite spending 'many seconds' trying to correct, I gave in.
In the quest for world peace, however, I spent more seconds today and achieved some improvement... hopefully !
